The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I've worked with both Java and .NET for years and consider both viable options. If MS doesn't lose their nerve, I expect .NET to be a real cross-platform option in a few years.
It's just my personal preference. I'd have a made a similar statement if someone said there was a consensus that Americans prefer chocolate ice cream.

Neither do I.
I'm not into politics either :-)
I was simply asking for a little backup on your answer.
We all have positions that are neither right or wrong.
It's cool if you don't want to back up what you say, but then don't say it if you don't want feedback.
The general consensus in the IBMi community is that .Net is bad and that's not good. It's just plain uninformed.
The fact that the unfounded disdain comes from top people at IBM who can't even say .Net in a public forum makes it even more disappointing.
Enough said.
