IFS file using wrklnk --> Coded character set ID . . . . . . . . : 1252
DSPFD file -->> Coded character set identifier . . . . . . : CCSID

DSPFFD file -->> all fields ->>Coded Character Set Identifier . . . . . :

You said the DB2 from file is CCSID 875.
If you do DSPFFD of that file does the CCSID of the individual columns
match the file?

If you do a WRKLNK followed by 8=Display attributes , what do you see for
it's ccsid?

Subject: Greek CCSID 875 to PCASCII
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I am trying to export data from a data file to IFS file so that I can open
it in notepad on PC and see greek roman characters.

1. File CCSID 875
2. File Fields are in CCSID 875
3. IFS file is UTF-8 BOM
4. JOB CCSID 875

I have tried multiple combinations but for some reason I am not able to
see
Greek characters on PC.

CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(FILENAME) TOSTMF('/tmp/xxfile') MBROPT(*ADD)
FROMCCSID(875) RCDDLM(*CRLF) STRDLM(*NONE)

I can do WRKLNK and see the file on IFS and all characters look good but
when open the same file in notepad++ I see gibrish .. encoding says UTF-8
BOM..

Any idea what should be the right way to export the file?
