No, I phrased this right. The vendor has no machine with which to test
whether or not their product works on the newest OS. They can't be
bothered to ask IBM to get into the program to allow them to test the
newest OS. They can't be bothered to use a service to load up the newest
OS and test their software.
Instead they wait until some customer does and replies to them whether or
not it works. Or, at most, they establish a relationship with a customer
they know who routinely upgrades and asks them if it works.

How soon did you have a machine running IBM i 7.3?
Did you participate in IBM's Early Ship Program?

Recently we had an ISV on here asking where they could find information on
IBM i 7.3. And it's been GA since April of 2016.

Rob, I'm not sure I follow this one. Vendors who rely on customers to say
if their product works on the new OS? Do you mean customers who rely on
vendors? I'm sure I'm just reading it wrong.
