That's about right. I have one client who has 8 machines that are stuck at
7.1 or lower.

I could write a book about how they constantly step over a dollar to save a
dime. They're publicly held, so the mindset of "management" is to focus on
the quarterly earnings report instead of the long view. They are finally
putting on the June of 2015 cumulative ptf's tonight, unless a department
called Customer Experience gets cold feet yet again that Bobby Sue Bupkus
won't be able to go online to pay her December invoice tonight instead of
tomorrow morning.

So the assumption is that hardware that won't run 7.2 is coercing IBM to
continue supporting 7.1?


Some shops choose not to upgrade. Our 720 would run 7.3, but we'll be on
7.1 until IBM drops support.

that can't be upgraded to 7.2 and beyond.
