If you use the TRCCNN command on IBM i you can output to a STMF in
WireShark format. That way you don't have to connect the PC and use

The answer to your second question is it depends on whether your traffic
between the partitions goes through an Ethernet adapter or if it goes over
the virtual Ethernet. That's the good thing about TRCCNN, it works either
way.

Any tricks to do a TCP/IP packet capture (with a tool like Wireshark)
between to partitions on a single system?
Would the traffic go through a managed switch even though both partitions
are on the same system?
