SUMMARY
The PCI-mandated deadline is June 2017 for the upgrade of SSL encryption technologies to TLS 1.2 with strong ciphers. This is an issue because some obsolete versions of OS/400 (V5Rx) and Java cannot support TLS 1.2 and strong ciphers

SUMMARY
IF you have the required version of Java and are at V6R1+ install this Curbstone PTF as soon as possible - do not wait! If you do not install, you will lose connection to TSYS after 07/31/2016.

If you do not have the required version of Java, or higher, installing this PTF will disconnect you from TSYS immediately.

Read this entire message before taking action.

BACKGROUND
TSYS network, your current processing network, requires that you connect with TLS 1.2 and strong cipher, SHA-2 (aka SHA-256). This is ONLY possible with Curbstone software running on a specific version of IBM Java or higher. V6R1, with Java J9 and a minimum build of SR10, is the earliest OS that can do this. Your response to the earlier bulletins confirmed you are on, or above, this version.

A PTF for your Curbstone software is being provided to update your Curbstone software to support the new TLS protocol. TSYS network is accepting ONLY TLS 1.2 and SHA-2 connections after July 31, 2016.

If you are V6R1+ and correct Java version, and you do not install the attached C2 PTF, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROCESS CARDS AFTER 07/31/2016.
