First, set yourself up with a way to send PROGRAMMATICALLY GENERATED email
from your box.

Then just write a CL program that spends most of its time sleeping, and
periodically wakes up and checks QSYSOPR for messages "of interest."

I'd give you an outline on what I've done in that regard, but I'm on
vacation right now, and don't have access to the source code.

Site24x7 has a free option.
