× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

AJS is an extra charge feature. Most of the basic feature/functions are
comparable between all of the products except two. Price/Support. The
features/functions of the OEM products are significant and they have a very
long list, 80% of which you'll never use. The 20% you will use, everyone
has.

The price of AJS is very low compared to its rivals, and more importantly
you can buy AJS for the cost of one maintenance payment from the other guys.
Your IBM software maintenance will go up a small amount, almost a rounding
error in the total bill.

While the other guys do a great job of supporting their products, IBM
supports AJS which means if there is a problem that goes beyond the product
to the OS, it's still IBM on the hook to fix it.

No contest in my view.

Subject: Advanced Job Scheduler

Hello all,

Easy question for the group.....is the Advanced Job Scheduler an extra-cost
item or is it included with the operating system now? We're possibly
looking for something that is a bit more flexible than the old job scheduler
(the ADDJOBSCDE type) and less costly than a Robot-type product.
I was thinking that the Advanced Job Scheduler was possibly free? Any info
is much appreciated.
