Seems to me that the OS should clear QTEMP when it resets the job for

What do you mean by the OS resetting the JOB? CGI JOBS just return to a
message-receive wait state after completing requests.

I could swear that I

once read that the OS does some type of reset when the connection to a
pre-start jobs ends.

For example, swapping back to the job user. Possibly resetting the
library list?

From a security standpoint, the OS doing some sort of reset makes sense.

But I can't find any docs to that effect currently. And perhaps CGI jobs
are a bit different that an OS prestart job.

Perhaps only only clean up is the profile swap...

"Files and objects that the prestart job user profile is not authorized to
should be closed and deallocated before the end of the transaction is
performed on the requestor device. If database files are left open in the
prestart job, in order to guarantee database security, the prestart job
program must check the program start request user profile authority to the
open files."

Thought there was more to it...
