Yes, we use this process for a single application save, don't need to worry if the tape library is available.
We then save the savf to media at a later time.
1) SAVLIBBRM LIB(CABPRDF) DEV(*MEDCLS) MEDPCY(SAVF) +
SAVACT(*LIB) SAVACTMSGQ(QSYSOPR) +
OBJDTL(*YES) SAVTYPE(*FULL) ACCPTH(*YES)
2) SAVSAVFBRM LIB(*ALL) MEDCLS(ULTRIUM5) DEV(TAPMLB01) MEDPCY(PERMPTC) SEQNBR(*END) ENDOPT(*REWIND) CLEAR(*SAVF).

Subject: BRMS Question
This is just a general question, since I'm a BRMS neophyte.
Does BRMS support saving libraries to a save file, and then saving the save file? I'd like to save a library to a save file (thus freeing up the library) and then save the save file one or more times to media.
Does this sound like something BRMS supports?
Thanks!
