Also, how can I determine the current settings of Syslogd before I elevatethe logging level?

Couple things.
1 - Profiles need to be 9 characters or less. This is an
AIX-to-PASE-carry-over issue.
2 - To debug ssh, see this: http://bit.ly/ibmi-syslogd-debug
Thank you Aaron,
The profile name I'm connected with via SSH is only 2 characters. Also,
how can I determine the current settings of Syslogd before I elevate the
logging level? I just want to make sure I set everything back afterwards.
Also, since I last posted I've concluded the authority failures only occur
when I start an HTTP server. The job name and job user of the error are
both QTMHHTTP, program is QSYS/QPOZPCP2 and it's trying to access
/QOpenSys/opt. So I'm starting to think the issue doesn't revolve around
my SSH connection but rather something which occurred while setting it up.
I can't think of why QTMHHTTP would be trying to access /QOpenSys/opt all
of a sudden.
