I see that SQL Server supports CREATE USER and ALTER USER. I can see this
being quite useful in right sizing from other servers to IBM i. Or in
spinning off new lpars and stuff.
Before you panic I wouldn't suggest it bypass the user needing *SECADM.
And one can already do
ftp myibmi
quote rcmd CRTUSRPRF ...
quit
and a few bazillion other ways of creating user profiles so any "5250 only
or die!" arguments are long dead.
As a side, maybe they'd start supporting the default schema that's part of
those two statements.
