WRKOBJPDM is particularly handy as you can filter on a "contains" generic
name and/or object attribute.

I have to say, that is handy. Having wildcards only at the end was a
relatively painful adjustment coming from Unix. But I think this is
one of those things where a system's capabilities directly affect the
workflows and conventions at a shop. The naming schemes I encountered
in the IBM midrange world have usually been tailored specifically
(whether deliberately or not) to the inability to have arbitrary
wildcards.

So I've kind of forgotten about PDM's better filtering. Good thing to
know, though. (It feels funny for me to say that after having worked
in this environment so long.)
