That last part's what I'm looking for. Replacing every printer with one that understands PDF natively doesn't sound like a fun option to me.

Subject: Re: Trial/demo for Infoprint Server?
We have Infoprint server, and have a lot of programming built around it, but for quite a few of the things we use it for (converting spools to PDF), we could probably reprogram and use things like the CPYSPLF WSCST(*PDF) along with a custom program attached to the OUTQ . So, just be aware of whether you need this product.
There is one function we use it for, for which I'm not aware of a replacement, and that's an application where we want to send a PDF stream file to a printer that doesn't handle PDF natively. I think Infoprint supplies a transform manager that helps with this challenge. If we didn't have this, we probably could have said, "just by a printer that can handle PDF files".

Subject: Trial/demo for Infoprint Server?
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
Does anyone know how I can get "Infoprint Server/400" (5722-IP1-0495) for a trial/demo? I looked in my ESS but don't see it there.
Thanks
