exactly what I needed... I am aware that ending the jobs has risk to active
jobs. For the interim, it's certainly better than bouncing the subsystem.

We recently stopped restarting QUSRWRK each night (to clear any file and
record locks) before SAVACT backup.
Have now found a couple RPGLE programs called in these connections that use
*DATE (udate) rather than system date and time... old code... Going to fix
the code but till then,

Is there a command that will restart these prestart jobs without restarting
subsystem?
