Of course an answer would be if the new LPAR would be one to add to the exclusion list. either way you are editing something.

but for grep the infocenter shows that there is a "-v" option
-v "Selected lines are those not matching the specified patterns."

Now to expand this.

Let's say I add another partition. So, instead of saying
"I want these existing partitions"
instead, I say
"I want all partitions except my two vios lpars and my aix partition"

Granted, this assumes that my next lpar is IBM i and I've handled it's
power properly.

But, all that being true, how do I select "all, but" as in all but
TSMAIX2, vios21 and vios22?
