Workload snapshot in my opinion is too short and creates some of our own
issues.

I'm saying we're not mixed.

ASP 1 SSD's have their own controller.
ASP 1 HDD's have their own controller.
ASP 2 HDD's (CEC), Dev partition 2, own controller.

What type of disk controllers?

Are the SSDs and the HDDs attached to the same controllers?

ASP1 and ASP2 mixed on the same controllers?

Using trace followed by balance assumes when you trace you will
catch the "hot" sectors on disk which will remain hot until you
repeat the cycle. Does this match your business pattern? In
other words, the stuff you read on Friday during the peak is
likely to be the same stuff you will continue to access for the
next week?
