MIDRANGE COMPUTING'S RESOURCE LIBRARY
CUSTOMIZED SIGN-ON DISPLAYS
Brief Description of Each Sign-On Display
-----------------------------------------
COLORSGN1 Artsy display with crossed color bars.
COLORSGN2 Dynamic display with vertical color bars.
COLORSGN3 Cool display with horizontal color bars.
COMPLEX Display with phony input fields such as social security
number, age, sex, and the like.
CONFUSING Contains multiple copies of the "User ID" and "Password"
fields, all of which are input-capable and are scattered
on the screen. Only one "User ID" and one "Password"
fields are the real ones, and they are not together.
The real User ID field is located at row 10, column 13.
The real Password field is at row 15, column 44.
MAC Reassuring display for Macintosh enthusiasts. It mimicks
the desktop display, complete with Trash and a pulled-down
File menu.
PLI_SIGNON Good for PL/I programmers. The sign-on display looks like
the source code of a typical PL/I program.
RPG_SIGNON Ditto for RPG/400 programmers.
SGNFLAG Put this baby in QINTER for Fourth of July. It displays
the USA flag.
SGNQCTL Great for the system console; it has the word "CONSOLE"
in big, bold letters. Put this one in QCTL for effect.
SGNXMAS Displays a Christmas tree, complete with blinking lights
and a "Season's Greetings" sentiment. The Christmas card
sign-on display, ideal for QINTER when 'tis the season
to be jolly.
S36SIGNON A nostalgia item for those who can't let go of the
System/36. It makes your AS/400 sign-on display look like
that of a venerable S/36.

Is there a way to change the data shown at the bottom of the logon screen or remove it completely? I vaguely remember that this was in a dataarea somewhere but I can't find it if that is where it is.
