I'm a huge proponent of QLOGOUTPUT *PND. However, will it do what you are
trying to do? IOW, are your users using WRKSPLF or are they using
WRKUSRJOB? If they are using WRKUSRJOB then the job will still be there
because the joblog will be *PND. Until the cleanup task kicks in and gets
rid of the old ones or the job gets ended. WRKJOBLOG does a fine job
also. Prompt that. One could always duplicate that and change a few
defaults...

You may have to start looking at APIs and stuff to get what you want. Just
like a business application. Do you accept their default way of doing
things? Do you study their configuration options and see if they'll do
what you want or close enough that you're willing to bend a little? Or do
you code around it?
