Try this one:
update RS set RSDATE = Current Date
where RSDATE < Current Date
and exists (select SDDID# from SD where SDDID# = RSDID# and SDCUST =
123 and SDMAN# = 0)
but use this for testing:
select RSDID#, RSDATE from RS
where RSDATE < Current Date
and exists (select SDDID# from SD where SDDID# = RSDID# and SDCUST =
123 and SDMAN# = 0)
Assumed RSDATE is a Date filed.
Not tested, just typed directly from memory.

I have two files, RS and SD.
I want to set RSDATE = today's date where RSDATE < today and SDCUST = 123
and SDMAN# = 0
The two files are joined by a numeric key, RSDID# and SDDID#.
I'm trying some examples from the archive but I can't get it to work yet.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Jack
