Oops ... I misremembered the correct length of the regex_t struct. It is 656.

Sorry about that. Here's the program I just used to check it.

#include <stdio.h>
#include <regex.h>
main()
{
printf("sizeof(regex_t) is %d\n", sizeof(regex_t));
}

It prints: sizeof(regex_t) is 656
