Re: AS400 DB to XML

fixed

Agreed, Debbie - but that curve is pretty flat with CGIDEV2 - 5 procedure calls is all that are needed for writing to XML files. Other than that, have an example of the XML you need to generate, identify varying vs static data, and you're almost done.

You did get some commercial options - SEQUEL is one - RJS has something that directly writes to XML, as I recall - used to work there - this is not a <verndor> response! :) It was single-level, no nested elements.

Good luck
Vern

Subject: AS400 DB to XML

Hi, I am trying to find a way to convert an AS400 database file to an XML file. I know that this
is not a difficult thing to do. My issue is that I simply lack the knowledge. Is there a simple tool
in Web Sphere Development Studio Client that does this? Or does anyone know of a utility/tool
outside of it that will do the same?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
