I would not expect to see SQLCA in either interface - that is for embedded SQL only - not in these interfaces. I mean, it may be there, but you won't see it when it's part of another program.

In STRSQL you may see one message - but there might be others preceding it in the job log - here's my suggestion - in STRSQL, cursor to the message and press F1. From there, press F10 - this should take you to the job log.

Let us know of any earlier related messages - they'll be immediately ahead of this one.
