FWiW: The RcdFmt LvlId of the based-on PF is _known implicitly_ from the given LF that had specified PFILE(named), but for which no field names were explicitly specified; i.e. such an LF implicitly requests to share the Record Format of the specified PFILE()... such that *if* the specified Record Format name [in the LF R-spec] did not match the RcdFmt name for the file named on the PFILE(), then an error msg CPD7916 "Record name not found in file specified on PFILE keyword." would result [logged in the compiler listing]... and the Logical File would not be created per CPF7302.
