The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I passed this along to the on-site bookkeeper. The system is under
maintenance by a third party vendor so I asked her to contact them to check
out the alignment and cost of a replacement unit.
I forgot to mention that I did check the system service log (STRSST) and
that it does not report any errors.
Is there any way to verify that the backups did run successfully? Years ago
I had an auditor (different company) ask me this. I responded by writing a
procedure that "verified" the backup by writing a library at the end of the
tape; then restored it. Satisfied him (auditors being what they are), but
left me wondering.
