Perhaps, but IMO doubtful. Many people simply do not followup on offers of assistance... whether that is because they solved their issue with that or other replies, or because they went down a different path, or perhaps just did not understand what was offered.

Anyhow, I somewhat expected that my comment about the message missing from NewsServer would effect a re-posting... since apparently your messages are being accepted today :-) I can do that here:

I had two objects, one with alwsav(*no) and one with alwsav(*yes).
Named console.log and console2.log
Ran this:
SAV DEV('/qsys.lib/rob.lib/rob.file') OBJ(('/rob/console*.log'))
and I got
1 objects saved.

DSPSAVF ROB/ROB shows only console.log
Guess which one had alwsav(*no).

If you do the appropriate DSP* command are they in your save media?
If they are in your save media, then the restore should have something in the joblog.
