RE: iSeries web "stuff"

Hi Chuck.
We went through that about 6 years ago. Developed a website to allow customers to see a pdf of their phone bills, and make payments. We used ASNA's AVR.NET and DataGate products to make that all happen, and it's been very successful. Required a bunch of learning, and feeling like a rookie, but it works. I don't know anything about the cost of the ASNA licenses or how that compares with other options. I also don't know the details about the security aspect, other than that the firewall, SSL, and DataGate is configured to effectively isolate the IBM i, restricting access appropriately.

I'm trying to put together (i.e. understand) what the best options
(tools) are for providing external access to iSeries data via the
internet and allow customer driven inquiry and on-line payment for
invoices. I know there seems to be dozens of tools and options, and
obviously security is an issue. So, please if you've "been there, done
that" point me in the right direction.
