The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Managed to come up with my own solution, that only works if you know
that nobody else has any business running a job with that particular
name and job description:
I already, for another part of the project (enhancing a program that
submits a batch job to tell a server batch job to shut down, so that if
the server batch job doesn't shut down when told, the CL will abend it),
written an ILE RPG function that returns the qualified jobname of the
first (and presumably only) active job in the system with a specified
name and our private job description. So it was simple enough to use it
for both the server job we're trying to shut down, and the submitted job
that's telling it to shut down.
