Yup.

Did your process restore the save files new to the system, or were the save
files, existing, and then cleared first, and finally restored to (and is the clear in the same
job stream that then restores)?
Probably (but not definitely) newly created with CRTSAVF just before the contents were downloaded from our FTP server; at any rate, it's all done in a CL program called from an RPG program.

Does the system mirror to another system (3rd party software) or remote
journal (3rd party or IBM)?
Is there security software that inspects and perhaps sets authority on new
objects in this library?
Journal all files in this lib?

All of these are interesting possibilities. It doesn't appear that the library where the save files were placed (QGPL) is journaled.

Certainly things to look for if it happens again.
