Jim Oberholtzer and I do a session at COMMON entitled "Advanced Interactive Work Management". Here we show how to set up a single subsystem to provide sign-on screens for ALL devices (*EXCEPT the console OF COURSE!) The routing program in that subsystem then transfers the users to the appropriate interactive subsystem, no work is ever down IN the signon subsystem. If the users needed interactive subsystem is down then that user gets an information screen and is then signed off. Exceptions are coded to allow Admins etc access to the controlling subsystem for example even when the rest of the system is restricted.

Advantages are:
- Ability to selectively take down parts of your system by just ending the appropriate interactive subsystem(s).
- No need to set or reset any data area. NO changes are made to users or to their initial programs as all code is in routing programs.
- Works AWESOME with iASPS and POWERHA.
- The message screen can be customized for better or more current information.
- Maintains access for some users at all times (except restricted condition of course)
- No need to worry about workstation names, they are completely ignored.

That's the concept of the entire 75 minute session in two paragraphs. :-)

I need to develop a program that should not allow any user to login into live system during some activity.
For this program we need to exclude few profiles that is a exception.

Can some please advise how to develop this.
