Reggie,

First time I tried, I forgot the apostrophes?

Anyway, I usually populate detail sheet(s), then the summary sheet(s).

While in the detail sheet, when it comes time to =sum() a column -- I
construct the formula and stuff it into an rpg variable, then later I use
that variable for the formula on the summary sheet.

------------------------------
On v5r4, it's my third time using Scott's HSSFR4 POI36 and I'm stumped. This time the workbook has a second sheet, Summary, and I want to refer to cells in the first sheet, SAB7132. I know in Excel to use formula, ='SAB7132'!D17, for example, in sheet Summary to refer to cell D17 in sheet SAB7132. I know how to use ss_formula() and refer to another cell within the same sheet but I can't figure out how to this other thing.

Thanks,
Reggie Acosta
