The extname is on a data structure that will hold the before and/or after image of the record when a change is applied to the record.
There is no f-spec for this particular file

The option you want (libname/filename) was made available only (AFAIK) beginning with V6R1... :-(
Why don't you define your file with a f-spec, using USROPN?
