We have Mimix and have used the following in the past to deal with Advanced job scheduler.

Make sure AJS is not being used, either by jobs or users.
Save the QUSRIJS library on the 7.1 system into a save file.  (Just as a precaution, just in case we need to restore or abort the switch).
Delete QUSRIJS from 7.1 system.
Save the QUSRIJS library from the 5.4 system - and - restore it to 7.1 system.
(At this point, you have 7.1 version of Adv Job Scd, but with 5.4 version of user lib.)
Run  ENDJS  DTALIB(*ALL)
Run  CHGDTAARA  DTAARA(QUSRIJS/QIJSPM (20 4)) VALUE('V5R4')
Run  STRJS  DTALIB(QUSRIJS)

This will force the conversion of the files to happen again.

For BRMS - we have BRMS networking setup so both production and DR systems share BRMS information via the BRMS networking feature.  Both systems know about the other systems tapes/objects/etc.

Subject: IBM i Upgrade Concerns for BRMS and AJS

We have upgraded MINMIX Target system from V5R4 to V7R1. We plan to do a
switch to upgrade our MIMIX source. We are little doubtful about working of
two products after upgrade of MIMIX source

1) Advanced Job Scheduler
2) Backup Recovery Media Services

We would switch source system to run on target hardware. The target system
already as V7R1 of AJS and BRMS. However as part of switch we would be
restoring QUSRIJS and QUSRBRM library ( V5R4 Version ) from source to
target hardware running V7R1. Clearly this means that Physical files within
QUSRIJS and QUSRBRM would not get converted to be compatible with V7R1.

Has anyone experienced any issues in such a configuration. Please advise.
