There is NOT a reverse image font according to IBM.(white letters)

I went through this last year trying to convert a older pre-printed form to
a overlay.

You DO NOT need afp to create simple boxes or lines in DDS.

You will need to learn all about fonts for larger letters, etc.(more reading)

You will need to create the print file as *afpds .

If you need "more" than lines and boxes, continue reading.

I recommend using an open source program called "Draw" which is
part of Open Office.

With a little practice, you can create some VERY
detailed forms and then run them through the Client Access product
called AFP work bench.

The result of that is a file that can be converted to
a overlay using System Navigator.

All of this requires a great deal of reading, testing, and patience.

Is DDS th AFP capable of printing common [simple] form design elements?

For example,

* boxes with slightly rounded edges
* shaded boxes with white letters on a dark background? (commonly used for headings of boxed groups of info)

If not, is there any alternative besides a forms s/w package to print these simple form elements?

Are there certain fonts which print white on black background?

Thanks!
