Hi James,

Twinax and TCP/IP aren't really types of printers, they're just a communications method, used to transfer data from the computer to the printer.

How forms get handled really has nothing to do with whether a printer is twinax or TCP/IP. (Indeed, I've had situations where the exact same printer can work over either communications media... and it works the same, in either case.)

Hi,

For years we've been blindly shooting reports to IP based printers from our
400.
It works so well that we haven't touched them in years.

However, since we are moving from V5R1 to V7R1 we have to replace our main
twinax printer with IP based.

My question is if there is a guide or reference to have forms management
and other user control/options via TCP/IP?
We've enjoyed this with twinax, as well as in the windows world, but have
not figured it out for AS400 IP printing.

Appreciate any tips or links in getting us to the next level.

Thanks in advance for your time...james
