Thanks Rob - every shop should probably settle on something - pick a standard way of doing things.

BTW, as to the automatic formatting - there is a symbiosis between a couple of the settings. If you have automatic formatting AND indentation on, the level of indentation controls it - not sure if I'm saying what I need to. But when I prepared the examples I posted, and I changed to the default settings (command starts at 13), the DCL stayed at position 2 - that's because the command above it (no blank line) started at position 2 - when I turned off automatic indentation, it jumped over to position 13, as set.

There used to be more of this odd behavior - even some bugs - that have been fixed - I'd reported a few over the years with this IDE. And thanks to IBM for their responsiveness, as always.
