In that vein, how do you tell if the hmc is too old? AFAIK an old CR3
can run the lastest HMC software so it should work with power7 or are
we talking older like c03?

I just happen to have an old HMC that was attached to our 520.  We
upgraded to a Power 7 and had to upgrade our HMC.

Just the CPU as the monitor, keyboard, and mouse have been pirated.

attach(serial) or lan console Next time you are lurking on ebay i
recommend getting an HMC, i have learnt a lot with mine (right until both
520 got sold... cant wait for the new one).
