have an ILE program that is made up of several modules bound together
with a CRTPGM command. I'd like to run the source level debugger on a
program other than the main program. I have recompiled the module and
run
the UPDPGM to replace it in the *PGM object, but the STRDBG does not
seem
to want to let me "watch" when the main program calls the module. I
can
get the main program to work, but not the subprogram.
What am I missing?
Not sure, but:
I have several programs created with CRTPGM and STRDBG works.
When using PDM option 15 to create a *MODULE that you want to debug,
specify DBGVIEW *SOURCE.
After that, use CRTPGM just as you have in the past.
With STRDBG, be sure to set a break
within the module you want to debug.
