Alas...would iDate enable me to add 1 to the year (the then clause

Thanks...

and you cannot use iDate?

When Month(<Library iDate In>/idate(mydate)) >= 10

So if your idate program is loaded into QGPL.

when month(qgpl.idate(MyDate)) >= 10

The only thing you need to do when using idate from outside the AS/400 is
qualify the function with the library you installed the function in.

Anyone know how I would do this from Showcase:

GROUP BY
       CASE
       WHEN MONTH ( DATE ( MYDATE, YYYYMMDD ) ) >= 10 THEN YEAR ( DATE (
MYDATE, YYYYMMDD ) ) + 1
       ELSE YEAR ( DATE ( MYDATE, YYYYMMDD ) )
END

in standard SQL? MYDATE is an 8.0 numeric field containing a date like
20110916.

Thanks!
