I have a need to generate the occasional single or small unique set of
labels for LTO tapes. I might need to replace a tape and want it to have the
same label as the tape being replaced. I might want a set like a day of the
week with a set number like MON001, TUE001 etc. The next set might be
MON002, TUE002 etc.
My first try using Word, a label template and a 3of9 barcode font was a
bust. The TS3100 didn't read them.
I have the correct label size and I hope the barcode was too small and have
increased the font size to 36, This does a pretty good job of filling the
label and the room left for the text is about right. I had a set with the
text above the barcode and set with text above the label.

I found this site http://tapelabels.librelogiciel.com/ , it's generates up
to a whole sheet and presents it via PDF at no charge. The 2 problems are it
wants a prefix and seq range and always starts at the bottom of the sheet
and fills up the sheet. So I can do a prefix of MON and seq of 001-032, but
that isn't what I'm looking for. The other problem is I can't start say
midsheet and do a few labels.

I have also found a tool from www.jdtools.ca that looks like it will do the
job and for $45 US is very reasonable.

Anyone out there have their favorite tool for doing this kind of adhoc a few
labels now and then thing?
