Well, notsomuch.

The clip nuts are generally Metric #508 referred to as "M5". And the screws then are the matching Metric M5 screws, oddly 1 inch long. These are the silver or brass colored 'smaller' mounting screws used by many rails.

If you like the slightly larger nice black, what we call 'Exhibit "A"' screws (Hex, Phillips AND slotted head) those are M6 size and the clip nuts are M610.

DO NOT buy 'cage nuts' as they are for 'square hole' racks. We of course use 'Round Hole' racks and 'Clip Nuts'.

WARNING. Often vendors will sell you SAE 5-32 nuts for the M508s as they are very close. They are NOT 'Close Enough'.

Sadly I haven't found a consistently good source but they are available on-line if you search for M508 or M610 clip nut.
