As mentioned the maximum for that system is 32GB. You will find the 4GB DIMMs required to get to 32 GB are still relatively spendy being they are the most in demand and had the highest initial price as well. You should find the 2GB DIMMs which will get you up to 16GB to be well below 1/2 the price PER GB of the 4GB DIMMs and the 1GB DIMMs (max then 8GB) cheaper per GB still. Given you have only 4 GB in the machine today, unless you're significantly changing the workload on the system, acquiring the 1GB DIMMs (FC #4445) is a great low cost option and my second choice would be the 2GB DIMMs (FC #4449) .
