I only just caught up with this thread.

When you include a page segment in an AFP spooled file with (*ROTATION 0) specified or with *ROTATION not specified at all, OS/400 generates an MOD-CA IPS (Include Page Segment) instruction in the AFP data stream. The IPS instruction does not support the specification of a rotation angle.

If you use include a page segment with a non-zero rotation, the the instruction output to the printer data stream is a different one (IOB, "Include Object"). I can't be specific about when the different instructions were introduced into the MOD-CA standard, or give you any more than my impressions about implementation of support for them, but it is definitely my perception than pretty much any printer out there will support IPS but not all support IOB.

Are you using Host Print Transform (i.e. is TRANSFORM(*YES) specified on the printer's device description)? HPT does not support the IOB instruction. See http://www-912.ibm.com/n_dir/nas4apar.NSF/1be1a5b61b213a6c86256c23007048f4/65611dda1e4a84ca86256d08006bc80d?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,print,color,page,segment

Hope this helps.

This is the third time that I am sending this out, but for whatever reason,
I have not seen it pop up in my own e-mail, so I don't know if it has
popped up into anyone else's e-mail either

If you see this for a third time, my apologies

Hopefully this all makes sense to someone
I have created a Page segment object in my library
When I try to use in on a particular form, the form is printed correctly on
A4, in landscape format.
However, the page segment (logo) is printed perpendicular to the form
Looking at what I was able to glean from my google search, I would need to
use the *ROTATION parameter within the PAGESEG command in my DDS defined
print file
When i use a value of 0 for the *ROTATION parameter, the page segment
(logo) is printed perpendicular to the form
When I use one of the other values (90, 180, 270) for the *ROTATION
parameter, the page segment (logo) does NOT print at all on the form

Questions
1. The most obvious one, anyone know what I am doing wrong
2. Is there a way to see if there is a page segment in the spool file.
Using Display spool file command does NOT show the logo
