Need to print 8.5x11 sheets on Adhesive label stock. It's mostly a single sheet with a die cut peelable label. I've heard that the heat from a laser printer can loosen the glue with increased potential for jams.

Echoing what others have already said:

First thing: use label stock specifically made for laser printers. It was pretty jam-free to begin with, and it's been steadily improving.

Second thing: use name-brand label stock, rather than cheap generic stock. If your laser printer ends up in the shop because of label stock, you want to know where it came from.

Third thing: Use the straightest paper path the machine will allow.

And above all else, AVOID RUNNING PARTIALLY-USED SHEETS. If, for some reason, you must make two passes per sheet, make them before you've removed any labels.

My own experience has been generally good, printing large numbers of videotape labels for my best friend's video business, and then printing clear labels, at two passes per sheet (but both passes with the sheet intact) for photo album captioning; I've had no more jams with label stock than with ordinary paper.
