Before jumping through the hoops required to get our main application
journal set to JRNCACHE(*YES), can anybody confirm that the 5722-ss1
Option 42 - HA Journal Performance provides for a 70-day trial period
like some (all?) the keyed license programs?
I think it could have a significant impact on our end-of-day process,
given that all our files are journaled but most our EOD programs don't
use commitment control.
Since we're on a new box with a new serial number, I figure we could
turn it on and see if there was significant improvement. And if so,
perhaps I could get the ok to purchase the license.
Lastly, is there any way to tell, other than seeing significant
improvement to know that the cache is indeed enabled and (trying to)
work?
Thanks!
Charles
