Correct, as the saves that you do on the HMC are all about the HMC.

The saves that take place on the HMC really don't save any of the firmware
or do they?? I am trying to think of how you would go back in the event
of
a problem. I think you would have to reload the older version that you
were
running??

Rob,

You are correct in that statement. When you apply Corrective
Service to your FSP, you will have the same version but different PTF
levels
(P & T side). When you change the version EL340 to EL350 you don't keep
the
old one on the P side.

Kirk does that also apply when you go from EL340_xxx to EL350_xxx and
not
just a EL340_123 to EL340_234? After all, when you upgrade from 6.1 to
7.1 you can't go back to 6.1 by IPLing from the 'A' side.
