I'm out of my comfort zone here, but is your 5250 SSL secured? If not,
then anyone using a sniffer can see your passwords. We don't and I just
ran a simple comm trace. See the following from a signon of a 5250
session:
.0....+....1....+....2....+....3
*....>. .".>........N....OP$TK..
*&...W...............1...ROB...E
*ATDIRT..

I changed the text of my password shown to something else.

What I am getting to is that I thought that SSL to mgtc would also mean
that your 5250 was SSL and shouldn't one work for the other? Disclaimer:
