The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Sorry not to have replied sooner - I'm just getting back to this.
I can try changing to VARCHAR and see if that works. I've tried calling it from LotusScript, though (which is like VB), using ADO, and parameter type adChar works just fine ...
