As a network adapter the FSIOP had the unique ability to be an Ethernet or a Token Ring adapter! It actually had both on the card and used whichever you selected.

When running as a network adapter only I believe a bit of OS/2 was actually running in the thing.

Basically, it was the original "PC on a Card", since replace
by/renamed to the Integrated Netfinity Server (INS), then the
Integrated xSeries Server (IxS)...

IIRC the original FSIOP could run Netware, or you could simply use it
as just an Ethernet adapter...which is what it looks like your box is
doing and that is also how I used mine. We got it instead of a plain
Ethernet adapter since at the time, it cost the same and we figured it
might be useful in the future.

Never did use it for anything but an Ethernet adapter.
