Has anyone ever imported a sysplan from an exported sysplan, I
have a new box that I want setup like another machine but I don't
want to take the time to go through all of the manual configs
using HMC.
For a sysplan deploy to be successful, a lot of work must be done on
SPT, for example to specify expansion serial numbers.
If it is not a large server, or if you do not have a lot of partitions,
my opinion is that it will take less time to perform manual
configuration.
The last time I deployed a sysplan, it was for 21 partitions on an MMA
with more than 30 expansions, and deployment was successful after the
4th or 5th try. It took me a couple of hours to deploy it.
